A message from Tim, Managing Director at Cymphony

I’m really pleased to say that things are beginning to get back to normal at Cymphony. We have been extremely well supported by our clients during the pandemic, with over 95% retaining their services with us. And to carry on the good news, during lockdown we welcomed over 180 new clients, with more coming on board and enquiring about our services every day.

All of this means we are recruiting to meet the increasing demand we are seeing – in the face of a national economic crisis, Cymphony is pulling through and expanding.

We are very pleased to announce that our Learning Centre has been opened very recently. With our Learning and Development Coordinator, Matt Milford, at the helm (take a look at the Employee Spotlight for more on him!), we have a fantastic space dedicated to ensuring our new team members receive the very best onboarding and induction training. The centre is also designed to bring personal training and development opportunities to the entire team while working at Cymphony. We believe that a well-trained and motivated team brings huge benefits and that’s why we invest so much time in each individual.

Matt Milford – Learning and Development Co-Ordinator

Hello! My name is Matt and I currently lead the Learning & Development department at Cymphony. I joined the company in March 2020, having worked in various training roles across contact centres and retail over the past 10 years with companies such as Vodafone and Sainsbury’s Argos.

We are fully committed to providing you with the support and development from Day 1 in your new career with us. You can expect an induction programme that is built to provide you with the background of who we are, and what we stand for as a business whilst training you on our systems and processes to set you up for success. The programme is also structured to give you the knowledge and tools to work with our top clients, allowing you to get to know our customers and understand exactly how to provide excellent service to them once you get started in your new role!

Following your classroom training, you will put your learning into practice in a safe and supportive environment with dedicated members of our current team there to coach and guide you whilst you become more and more confident.

Wellbeing at Cymphony

Over the past few weeks and months, it has become more important than ever for us all to look after our physical and mental wellbeing. Our events team regularly organise ‘Mindful Monday’ and ‘Wellness Wednesday’ where we can all take the extra time to focus on how we are feeling and to help inspire and lift up each other. This has been done through encouraging, sharing daily challenges, quotes of the day and shout outs to specific people in the Cymphony family for the stellar work they have been doing… just to name a few.

As we start to reopen our offices and welcome all of our wonderful staff back, we want to continue to provide that support because building strong relationships and supporting each other is what we are all about.

Our team have also been using the Action for Happiness Coping Calendar to get them through this challenging time.
